Thomas Chabot was murdered shortly after coming to New Hartford, CT from Canada. He left with "a friend" who was going to show him the way to the bank so he could put what little money they had in the bank. He was found murdered near railroad tracks. He had no identification so it took authorities some time to find his family and let them know what happened to him. They never found out who killed him.
