DAVID HARRIS FUNERAL HELD
End Came Saturday at Home of His Daughter, Mrs. C. A. Woodward.
David Harris was found dead about 6 o'clock Saturday morning at the home of his daughter, Mrs. C. A. Woodward, in Edina, with whom he had been staying for some time. Death was due to heart trouble, with which he had been seriously ill for three days previous.
Mr. Harris was born in Rome, N.Y., a son of King and Wealthy Ann Harris, but he lived for fifty-six years in the Locust Hill neighborhood, where he engaged in farming. He was married to Dovey Bowman July 4, 1888, who was a daughter of George and Celia Bowman. Two daughters and two sons were born to them, as follows: Mrs. Bessie Bowling, now dead, who lived at Clayton, N.M.; George Harris, Novelty; Lester Harris, Fulton, Mo., and Bertha, Mrs. C. A. Woodward, Edina.
He has a brother, John Harris, at Hamburg, Ark., and two sisters, Mrs. Frank Johnston of Brashear and Mrs. Mary Martin, Havana, Ill.
Funeral services were held at 1 o'clock Sunday afternoon at Locust Hill, with services at the grave by the Rev. William Orchard. Burial was in Huling Cemetery.
