BURGESS, Louise Maude - 77, 530 Pictou Rd., Truro, died July 29, 1997, in QEII Health Sciences Centre, Halifax, after a short illness. Born in Green Oaks, Colchester Co., she was a daughter of the late Nelson and Mary (Henderson) Burgess. During her lifetime, she worked for Arnold Crowe, Pryors Open Kitchen Restaurant and Stanfield's Ltd., for 33 years until her retirement. She was a member of the Y Seniors Group, Truro. She is survived by a sister, Bessie Burgess, Pugwash, as well as several cousins. She was predeceased by brother, Havey and half-brother, Roy Allen. Louise will be greatly missed by her many friends. Cremation has taken place. No visitation by request. A memorial service will be held on Saturday at 2 p.m. in Mattatall Funeral Home, Truro, Rev. Lloyd Burrows officiating. Burial will be in the Fisher Creek Cemetery, Green Oaks. Donations may be made to the Fisher Creek Cemetery Fund or to any charity.
