BURGESS, Bessie Gladys - 86, Pugwash, died March 10, 1999, in Sunset Adult Residential Centre, Pugwash. Born in South Maitland, Hants Co., she was a daughter of the late Nelson Burgess. She had been a resident of Sunset Adult Residential Centre since 1968, where she was well known by all the staff and residents. She spent her days eagerly waiting for mail time and adding to her many treasures. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. Surviving are friends, Carolyn Halverson, Tatamagouche; Gail Thompson, Wallace; many friends at Sunset. Visitation 1:30 Sunday until time of service 3 p.m. Sunday, both in Mundle's Funeral Home, Pugwash, Rev. Scott MacDonald officiating. Spring burial in Palmerston Cemetery, Pugwash. In lieu of flowers, donations to Sunset Adult Residential Centre or any charity.
