Ogden Standard Examiner Dec 9, 1940. Rhoda Berrett Jones, North Ogden- Mrs. Rhoda Berrett Jones, 81, widow of John Jones died Sunday morning at her home in North Ogden of complications incident ot age following a brief illness. Mrs. Jones was born January 19, 1856, in North Ogden, only five years after the community's settlement, a daughter of Robert G. and Sarah Ann Woodhead Berrett. She was married to Mrs. Jones February 15, 1874, in the Old Salt Lake L.D.S. Endowment House. At the age of two years she was take on at he southward exodus from Weber county at the historic advent of Johnson's army to Utah. She had resided in North Ogden her entire life. She was a particularly well known for her activity in the North Ogden L.D.S. ward Relief society and for her life of charitable service. Her husband died in North Ogden on May 15, 1910.

Surviving are the following sons and daughters: Charles W. Jones and Mrs. Elizabeth Randall of Ogden; Mrs. Rhoda Pearl Petersen of Detroit., Mich.; Mrs. Jennie M. Shaw of North Ogden; James E. Jones of Magna; Mrs. Elsie Redfield of Idaho Falls, Idaho; Carl Jones of Rigby, Idaho: 29 grandchildren, 43 great -grandchildren and one great - great - grandchildren and two sisters and one brother; Mrs. Susan B. Ellis, Edmund R. Berrett and Mrs. Harriet Spackman of North Ogden.
