Funeral services for Darla Gay Weatherly Chagnon were held at 10:00 A.M. on Aug.6,1979 at the Van Orsdel Methodist Church in Havre with the Rev. Lonnie Cleveland of the Immanuel Baptist Church officiating. The Ellison Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements, with interment in the Highland Cemetery of Havre.
Heather and Scott Bolander sang the duets "Jesus Outshines Them All" and I know Who Holds the Future." accompanied by Mrs. Dave Brady.
Pallbearers were Dennis Teske, Dan Whitaker, Dwayne Whitaker, Martie Jorgensen, Nick Siebrasse, Alan Olson,Dave Kanning, and Raymond Kallenberger.
A memorial has been established to the Immanuel Baptist Church of Havre.
She was born November 9,1959 in Pecos, Texas and passed away Aug.2,1979 in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She attended grade school through junior high in Pecos, Texas and graduated from Havre High Sschool in June 1978. She had been employed at the Shoe Tree in the Atrium prior to her marriage on July 28,1978 to Wayne Thomas Chagnon. She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Havre. Survivors include her husband Wayne Chagnon, her parents Norma and Ed Weatherly; sisters Sherry and Kelly Weatherly and brother Jamey Weatherly; and her grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Bert Watson of Havre and Mr. and Mrs. Chester Weatherly of Memphis, Texas
