Cousin Doug was born, the youngest child, to Esper and Susie Stewart-Rhodes. Doug was a long standing member of Greater New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He started the TV Ministry on the religious cable channel. This allowed the sick and shut-in to view the Sunday service they were not able to attend. Doug attended church as much as his health allowed.
Doug started playing drums at the age of five and went on to play in school bands and learned how to read music. By the time he was a teenager, he was the drummer for a popular group in Cincinnati called the Mystics. Doug's achievements in music were, i.e., drummer for jazz vibraphonist Roy Ayers on his 1976 album "Everybody Loves the Sunshine" and toured with his group, Pure Pressure, a local musical group, and Odyssey which tours Holiday Inns across the country .
After Doug's professional tours were over, he returned home and felt the need to further his education. He received his degree in Audio/Video Production from Southern Ohio College. His love for music and the entertainment industry gave him a vision to start 'ERS". The purpose was to create a direct line of communication between the entertainers and the needs of the public. Doug was recognized by CCV (Media Bridges) as Producer/Director in April, 1999 for exceptional work on producing his show, "The Entertainer".
