Deceased Name: Edna Lumm Pickering
Edna Lumm Pickering, a homemaker, died Thursday at an area hospital. She was 78.

A native of Nowata, Okla., Pickering was a resident of Eight Mile. She was a member of Indian Springs Baptist Church for 20 years.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, James Pickering of Eight Mile; three daughters, Deborah Martin of Satsuma, Sandra Landry of Springfield, La., and Lana Richardson of Eight Mile; three sons, Stephen Pickering of Mobile, Michael Pickering of Saraland and Barry Pickering of Georgetown; two sisters, Mary Anderson of Ramona, Okla., and Zella Linville of Hammon, Okla.; three brothers, Albert Lumm and Ray Lumm, both of Nowata, and Roy Lumm of Renton, Wash.; seven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday from 11 a.m. until the noon funeral at Indian Springs Baptist Church. Burial will be in Valhalla Memorial Gardens. Valhalla Memorial Funeral Home in Semmes is handling arrangements.
