James Germanson died at his home in this city last Monday evening, of pulmonary consumption, aged 47, leaving a wife and two small children to mourn the death of a kind and loving husband and father.
The funeral was held Wednesday morning under the auspices of St. Mary’s Branch, No. 31, C.K. of W., of which society the deceased was a member.
A large number of friends assembled to pay their last respects to the dead. Interment St. Mary’s Cemetery. The sympathy of the community is with the bereaved family.
James was the oldest son of Christopher Germanson and Marit Pedersdatter. Mary Germanson (nee Lynch) was his wife and John Christopher and Frank Daniel were his sons. He had an unnamed daughter stillborn on March 5, 1890. His siblings included Ingeborg, Sarah (William) Bodin, Mary (Andrew) Newman, Julia (Daniel) Sholberg, Emma (Frank) Bodine, and brothers Peter C. (Mathilda, nee Anderson) Germanson, Gilbert Otto (Amelia, nee Sievers)Germanson, Julius Martin (Theresa, nee Weller) Germanson and Christopher (Laura, nee Ware) Germanson. Rest in Peace great Grandpa.
