MINFORD-- Orma S. Shear, 80, of Rt. 335, Minford Rt. 1, died Friday at Mercy Hospital after a period of failing health. A lifelong resident of Madison Township, he had retired after more than 40 years with the Chesapeake & Ohio Railroad. Preceded in death by his first wife, Edna Dodds Shear, in 1927, and his second wife, Louella Rawlins Shear, in 1977, he is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Avanelle Locke of Milford, Ind., Mrs. Velma Snyder of Otway, Mrs. Wilma Jean Daniels of Minford Rt.1 and Mrs. Billie Jean Wallaclevage of Tampe. Ariz.; two brothers, Henry of Minford and Harold of Jackson Rt. 2; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Downey of Minford Rt 1 and Mrs. Mary Cochran of Jackson Rt. 2, and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are planned at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Erwin-Dodson Funeral Home, with Rev. John R. Little officiating, and burial in Floral Hills Memory Gardens.
