Salem - Amy Towe Murphy, 28, of 279 Alexander Road, Salem, SC, wife of Michael Murphy and mother of Caden, died Thursday, June 30, 2011, at Oconee Medical Center.
A native of Oconee County, Mrs. Murphy was the daughter of Donna Hall Towe of West Union and the late Ricky Curtis Towe. She was a third grade school teacher at Fair-Oak Elementary School. Mrs. Murphy was a member of Walhalla First Baptist Church.
In addition to her husband and mother, Mrs. Murphy is survived by her son, Caden Reid Murphy of the home; and grandparents, Annie Hall and Robert and Mary Towe.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 3, 2011, from the Chapel of Davenport Funeral Home, Walhalla, with burial to follow in Oconee Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the funeral home.
