He was united in marriage to Mahala A. Burch on May 22, 1918.
To this union five children were born, who, with the wife survive: Clyde V., Colorado Springs, Colo.; Hilda (Mrs. George) Gerlach, Kennewick, Washington; Kenneth D., of the U.S. Air Force, San Antonio, Texas; Betty Lou and Charles E., Jr. Farmington.
Also surviving are 15 grandchildren; five brothers and three sisters: Ed of Flat River; Oscar and Otto of Farmington; Lonis of Arcadia Star Route; Nolis of Thornton, Colo.; Mrs. Mary Wilkerson; Mildred (Mrs. A.A.) Reed, Farmington, and Lola (Mrs. W.A.) Boevingloh, Denver, Colo.; nephews, nieces, and a host of friends.
The deceased lived in St. Louis for a number of years but returned to this vicinity, where he and Mrs. Chapman operated DX and Blue Diamond Cafes.
He united with the Second Baptist Church, Farmington, and was active in many phases of the church work as long as health permitted.
Funeral services will be held at Miller's Funeral Chapel Thursday at 1:00 p.m. conducted by Rev. Barton.
Interment will be in the Doe Run Cemetery.
