Mrs. Mariah Niblo Died Here Wednesday
Mrs. Mariah Farlow Niblo of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, passed away at the home of her nephew, Roy Hartley, last Wednesday. Mrs. Niblo came here about three weeks ago to make her home with the Hartley family.
Funeral services were conducted from the Hartley Funeral Home last Saturday, October 15, 1949, at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. G.V. Parks officiating. Interment was made in Highland Cemetery in Minneapolis.
Mariah Farlow Niblo
Mariah Farlow Niblo, daughter of Susan and Joseph Farlow, was born May 16, 1864 on a farm near Cedar Rapids, Iowa and departed this life October 12, 1949 at the age of 85 years, 4 months and 26 days.
In her early twenties her parents, four brothers and one sister moved on a homestead 4 miles north of Minneapolis where she lived until her early thirties.
She was married to Jacob Niblo of New York City who was a comedy actor. To this union a girl and boy were born, both died in infancy. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago.
She has lived in the State of Washington for the past 30 or 40 years. On September 17th she came to make her home with her nephew, Roy Hartley, of Delphos, Kansas.
She leaves to mourn her passing her nephews and nieces, Roy and Charles Hartley of Delphos; Mable Manning of Aurora, Colorado; John and Art Farlow of Brighton, Colorado; Marie Milligan, Dell Wallis of Powell, Wyoming; Hazel Farlow and Boyd Farlow of Milford, Kansas and Geraldine Shannon of Sunnyside, Washington. A number of great nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends.
