The son of Francois Xavier Gegoux and Sephronia Bertrand. Anthony married Cora Denny on 1 Sep 1894 at Clayton, Jefferson County, New York. They had a son named Francis. Anthony had been in the farming business for about 30 years, and shortly before his death was a dairy farmer.

Clayton Farmer Dies Suddenly
Clayton, April 10 - Anthony Gegoux, 55, died suddenly this morning at his farm home on Clayton-Cape Vincent road two miles from this village. Mr. Gegoux was subject to heart attacks but was in fairly good health until stricken this morning.
He was born in Clayton Jan. 26, 1876, a son of Francis X. and Sephrona Gegoux. He was a farmer and had always lived in this town. On September 1, 1894, he married Cora Denny who died in 1929. He was a member of St. Mary's church of this village.
He leaves a son Francis; his mother, Mrs. Sephonia Gegoux, who resides at the Gegoux farm home; two brothers Ed Gegoux, Cape Vicent and Frank Gegoux, Fulton; and five sisters Mrs. George Prime, Phoenix, Mrs. Bert Ashcraft, Black River, Mrs. James Allen, Three Mile Bay, Mrs. Charles Gardner, Fulton, and Mrs. Elmer Kellogg, Clayton.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 8 a.m. from St. Mary's church, Rev. George Racette officiating.  Interment will be made in Clayton cemetery.
