Widow of James Allen, 85, Dies
Three Mile Bay, Nov. 4 -- Mrs. Dellia Gegoux Allen, 85, widow of James Allen, died Friday afternoon at Farmer Nursing Home, Pillar Point. She had been a patient in the nursing home for six years.
The funeral will be at 9:30 a.m. from the home of her daughter, Mrs. Howard Jackson, Three Mile Bay, and at 10 a.m. at All Saints Church, Chaumont, with Rev. Gerald A. Sharland, pastor, officiating.
Surviving are four sons, Rolland and Perl, both of Syracuse; Raymond, Oswego, Woodrow, Watertown; four daughters, Mrs. Frank (Reta) Scales and Mrs. Ada Cook, both of Watertown; Mrs. Pauline Weaver, Cape Vincent, and Mrs. Howard (Edna) Jackson, Three Mile Bay; grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Allen was born in the Town of Clayton, June 15, 1876, daughter of Frank and Sophrena Bertrand Gegoux. She was married to James Allen February 2, 1894. Mr. Allen died thirty years ago.
She had lived in this area for years. She was a member of All Saints Church.
