He was married two times first was to Nancy Clark Smith 17 June 1829 in Clermont County, Ohio daughter of William Smith and Lueretia Johnson. This marriage produced ten known children. McCallister; Sarah Albatean; Sharlotte (Charlotte) married James Aaron Reeder; Mary Emma married John Benjamin; Asa Wilson married two times first to Sarah Tinsley Kidd and second to a Whitely; and last Diana. His second marriage was to Anna Hoskins 2 April 1857 in Pike County, Illinois and she was daughter of Isaac Hoskins and Susannah Bradshaw. This marriage produced four known children Sena (Lena)died infant; Charles W. died an infant; Orlando married Alice Lavena Parsons; and Larason Elmer married L. Adaline Orril.
