CEDAR—Lena Fox, 87, of Cedar, died Thursday at Siesta Park Manor in Oskaloosa.
Born Dec. 24, 1890, near Eddyville, she was the daughter of James D. and Alice Ballenger Picken. She lived in Mahaska County all her life.
She was a graduate of Central Holiness University of University Park (now Vennard College) and taught school near Bussey. She was a member of Cedar United Methodist Women and ODU Club. On Nov. 9, 1916, she married Roscoe Fox near Cedar.
Surviving are her husband; two brothers, Dwight of Cedar and Roy of Sullivan, Ill., and one sister, Mrs. Inez Johnson of Marengo.
Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the Fremont Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Foster officiating. Burial will be in the Highland Cemetery near Eddyville.
Memorials may be made to the Cedar United Methodist Church.
