Named either Joaquin Pereira Azevedo or Domingo Pereira Azevedo, he was the son of Joseph Pereira and Mary Katrina Azevedo.

He passed away shortly before or after his mother passed away in February 1880.

The child was originally buried in the Saint Anne's Catholic Churchyard, along with his mother and sister Leonora Pereira Azevedo, but their bodies were dug up and moved to the public cemetery when miners wanted to dig for ore in the churchyard.

A rose garden was planted on the family ranch near Tuttletown in the memory of him and his mother.
