Herbert "Herb" Katz, age 83, a resident of Albuquerque, NM since 1979, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2007.
Herbert is survived by his wife, Susan M. Brand, son, Arthur Katz, daughters, Francine Zelnik and her husband, Joel and Stephanie Kobrin, step-daughters, Ramona Brand and Amy Brand, grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mark, Aaron, Sara, Rebecca, Alan, Hannah, Ryan and Sofie, sister, Shirley Friedman and her husband, Ben and many special friends who fondly referred to him as "The Old Yankee".
Herb served his country with the Flying Tigers during World War II.
Herb loved baseball and was an avid Yankee's fan.
Funeral Services will he held on Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at 12:30 p.m. at French Mortuary Wyoming Blvd. Chapel, albuquerque, NM. Interment services will follow at Santa Fé National Cemetery, Santa Fé, NM at 3:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in his name, to a charity of your choice.
