Miss Phyllis Ann Hope, 18, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace C. Hope, 407 N. Walnut St., was fatally injured at about 11 o'clock saturday night in a car-truck accident one mile east of Olney at the barricade of the new U.S. Route 50.

She was a passenger in a car headed west, which was stopped at the stop sign where the new highway crosses the present U.S. 50. A loaded semi-truck rammed the car from behind.

She and the three others in the car were rushed to Richland Memorial Hospital by ambulance. Miss Hope passed away at the hospital from injuries sustained in the wreck.

Her father is manager of the General Telephone Company Revenue Accounting Office in Olney.

Two other passengers in the car remain patients at the hospital today. They are Miss Nancy Golly, 15 of Olney and Daniel Holtz of Olney. Both are in satisfactory condition today.
