Born in Ava, Mo., Douglas County, Missouri on January 22 1914, he lived most of his life in St. Joseph, Missouri area. He was a Christian.
On September 27, 1937 he married Leta Fortune in Weston, Missouri. She survives him.
Dad was preceded in death by his parents, Scott and Malissa Trail, three brother, Clarence, Howard and Henry, and a grandchild.
He is survived by children Thomas and Martha Trail, Melvin and Debbie Trail, Randall and Susan Trail, and Patty and Everett Purvis.
Sisters Jessie Page, Lucille Fortune, Nellis Amos, Irene Lamar, and Peggy Kessler. 10 grand children and 15 great grandchildren.
