Mrs. Katherine Frisby Dawkins

Mrs. Katherine Friby Dawkins
of 515 Moore Street, Huntingdon,
passed away Sunday,
June 12, 1955, at 2:55 p. m. in
the Harrisburg Hospital, where
she had been a patient since November
28, 1953.
The deceased was born July
22, 1902, in Huntingdon, a daughter
of Louis and Carrie (Harris)
Frisby. She was united in marriage
to Daniel Dawkins, who preceded
her in death In November
of 1954.
Mrs. Dawkins was a member of
the Payne A. M. E. Church in
Huntingdon. She spent most of
her earlier life in Huntingdon,
then moved to Brooklyn, New
York. Later she returned to
Huntingdon, where she remained
until being confined to the Harrisburg
Hospital.
Two daughters, Mrs. Herbert
(Virginia) Alston of Philadelphia
and Mrs. Arthur (Betty) .Sheppard
of Brooklyn, New York, survive.
Four grandchildren and two
sisters, Mrs. Fred (Ruth) Beavens
of Brooklyn and Mrs. Edgar
(Ethel) Brawley of Altoona, also
survive. Two brothers and four
sisters preceded her in death.
Funeral arrangements have not
been completed and will appear in
tomorrow's paper. Brown funeral
service, Huntingdon.
