Lucius Clark was born in Wyoming, USA, 23 November 1886, in a log cabin. He worked on his father's farm, and attended schools in Wyoming, and Mexico (where he became fluent in Spanish, later working at times as a translator). Lucius then worked at different jobs during the summer, and began teaching school. Lucius taught in Mexico, where he met and married his wife, Miriam Adelia Carling. Due to the Mexican Revolution, Lucius and his wife Adelia left Mexico as refugees, in 1912, living for a short time with relatives, until they could find a house. Lucius continued teaching in Idaho, and attended UAC (Utah Agricultural College, now Utah State University) in the summers when he could, until he obtained his B.S. Degree. Lucius and his wife then moved to Montana, where Lucius taught for three years, at Three Forks High School, from 1924-1927,then moved back to Idaho, where he continued teaching until 1954, also earning his Master's Degree from UAC, 1926. In 1941, Lucius, an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, began teaching LDS Seminary (religion classes for youth) in Ririe,Idaho, as well as teaching Spanish language classes at nearby Ricks College. Lucius taught LDS Seminary until 1954. Lucius and his wife successfully raised seven children. After retirement, Lucius and his wife, Adelia, worked in the Idaho Falls Temple from 1953-1970. Lucius and Adelia served an LDS Mission together from 1963-1975, in Texas. Lucius and Adelia loved music, and often entertained people with their duets and singing on the mandolin and guitar, at family reunions, church programs, and at nursing homes, where they brought happiness to the residents. He was survived at his death by his children, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who loved him.
