A beautiful person, great wife, mother, & grandmother. She owned Airways Beauty Shop on Chesterville Road in Tupelo, after she retired, she was beautician for Cedars Methodist Nursing Home in Tupelo.

Chesterville Estelle Martin Wade, 94, died Wednesday, February 23, 2011, at Community Hospice at Darlington Oaks after a brief illness. A Sherman native, she was born October 15, 1916, to Marshall and Norbie Billingsley Martin. She attended school in Potts Camp and Sherman. She owned and operated Airways Beauty Shop, and was the hairstylist at Cedars Health Center before her retirement. For the past five years she was resident at Rosewood Assisted Living Facility. She enjoyed attending the Senior Citizens Multi Purpose Center. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening and cooking. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was a member of West Jackson Street Baptist Church.

Services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 26, 2011, at The Jefferson Street Chapel of W. E. Pegues with Rev. Rusty Miller and Rev. Bert Harper officiating. Burial will be in Tupelo Memorial Park.

Survivors include her children, Hilda Miller of Tupelo, Betty Roberts (Lynwood) of Belden and Charles M. Wade (Diane) of Palmetto; five grandchilren, Allison Bailey (Dewayne) of Palmetto, Brad Miller of Tupelo, Chris Roberts (Gretchen) of Collierville, Tennessee, Casey Roberts (Lisa) of Belden, Carrie Curran (Derric) of Olive Branch,; three step-grandchildren, Ann Bolton, (David) Linda Miller, Rusty Miller (Cathy); eight great-grandchildren, Aaron Miller, Andrea Miller, Braden Miller, Alyssa Bailey, Carley Bailey, Callie Curran, Campbell Curran, and Bennett Roberts; four step great-grandchildren, Emily Miller, Andrew Miller, Austin Miller, Megan Hillensbeck (Greg); four nieces and two nephews; and her special friend Ruby Wallace.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Raymond C.R. Wade on June 21, 1998; her son Carl Raymond "Sonny" Wade,Jr.; her son-in-law, James H. Miller; two sisters, Louise Rhodes and Dorothy Williamson.

Pallbearers will be Brad Miller, Dewayne Bailey, Chris Roberts, Casey Roberts, Derric Curran, David Bolton, Aaron Miller, Andrew Miller, Austin Miller and Greg Hillensbeck. Honorary Pallbearer will be Brent Marcy.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, February 25, 2011, at the funeral home.
