RALPH DAWSON, JR.
Ralph Dawson Jr., 65. formerly of Bevier, died Saturday afternoon, January 27, 2001, at his home in Dodge, North Dakota.
Mr. Dawson was born February 19, 1935 in Bevier, the son of William Ralph and Flossie Elizabeth Foley Dawson.
On July 3, 1955 at the Kaseyville Baptist Church he married Martha Lucille Smith and she survives in Bevier.
Mr. Dawson attended the Baptist Church and was baptized in Kaseyville. He served in the U.S. Army from 1955 until his military retirement in 1978. Mr. Dawson worked in the motor pool for the military and the civil service all of his life.
Survivors also include three daughters, Celia Joy True and her husband Marshall of Omaha, NE, Sarah Ann Dawson of Bevier, and Frances June Hoffman of Austin, TX; two sons, Everett Dawson and his wife Melissa of Yuma, AZ, and Steven Allen Dawson of Parkville; three sisters, Eunice Huffman of Macon, Mary Gasser of St. Louis, and Nellie M. Cross of Bevier; one brother, Robert Joe Dawson of Ditmer; three grandsons, Aaron David True, Nathan Thomas True and Timothy James Dawson; and several nieces and nephews, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one infant brother; one half brother, Jerry Dawson.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Bevier, with Rev. Scott Dalrymple officiating. Burial will be from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Carney-Armstrong Funeral chapel in Bevier.
Memorials suggested to the American Heart Association and may be left at the funeral home.
