Casper Haas an industrious German farmer residing south of town died on Saturday morning last of lung fever after but a few days illness. Mr. Haas came here from Hayton, Calumet County, seven years ago settling on his present farm. He was highly respected by his friends and neighbors and his famiy have the sympathy of the entire community in their great bereavement. He leaves a wife and eight small children. The interment took place from the Catholic church on Monday with the remains being laid at rest in the Catholic cemetery.
