Dewey R. Jennings, 77, of Beecher City died Tuesday in his home.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in Kaskaskia Church of the Brethren, Beecher City. Visitation will be after 4 p.m. Friday at Brown-May Funeral Home, St. Elmo. Burial will be in Spring Hill Cemetery, Beecher City.

Mr. Jennings was born in Cowden, son of Lawrence and Florence Jennings. He was a member of the Greenland Masonic Lodge, Beecher City. He married Ada Wright in 1922. She died in 1940. He married Phebe Dial in 1941. She died in 1964. He married Julia Dial in 1966. She died in 1966. He married Nellie Myrtle Rhodes in 1968.

Surviving are his wife; sons, Wilbert of Beecher City; Leonard of Effingham; Dean of St. Elmo; Ronnie Dewey Lee of Clearlake, Iowa; John of Louisville, Ky.; Victor of Piper City; daughters, Mrs. Wayne (Arlene) Niehaus of Effingham; Mrs. Frank (Delva) Krost and Mrs. Charles (Joyce) Hoy, both of St. Elmo; Mrs. Danny (Linda) Barker of Flomaton, Ala.; stepsons, Delbert Rhodes of Bethalto; Alvin Rhodes of Peru, Ind.; Donald Dean Rhodes of St. Elmo; stepdaughters, Mrs. Faye Barid of DuQuoin; Mrs. Minnie Alice Orr of Tularosa, N.M; Mrs. Emily Darling Deal of Forsyth; Mrs. Joan Stevel of San Jose, Calif.; brothers, Orville of St. Elmo; Gilbert of Hoopeston; Millard of Edgewood; Mrs. Wave Evans of Beecher City; Mrs. Mae Knapp of St. Elmo; 22 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 21 stepgrandchildren; 7 stepgreat-grandchildren.

Two sisters and one stepgrandchild preceded him in death.
