Mrs. Martha C. Gwin, 77, a native of New Albany who for some time had been living at the Pennington nursing home in Louisville, died there at 1 a.m. Tuesday. She was the widow of Earl S. Gwin who passed away in 1928. He had been president of the Second National Bank here and of the Lincoln Bank in Louisville. . . Mrs. Gwin was born here, the daughter of John and Anna Cadwalader. Since the death of her husband, until going to the nursing home, she had generally spent her summers in Michigan and winters in Florida. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Harold Ashley, of Jacksonville, Fla., and a granddaughter, Martha Ann Ashley. - New Albany Tribune 04 Jun 1952
