Mrs. Alice Spensley died in this city today after a protracted illness aged 82 years. She was the wife of Richard Spensley a pioneer of this county and mother of Judge William Spensley, of Galena, and the Hon James Spensley of Mineral Point Wis. Mr and Mrs Spensley celebrated recently their sixty third wedding anniversary and were thought to be the oldest married couple in the state of Illinois.
