ADA, Okla. — James Weldon Sessions, 75, Wichita Falls died Thursday, July 14, 2011, in Amarillo, Texas.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Burial will follow in Pontotoc Cemetery under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home of Ada.

Mr. Sessions retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He later worked for the Mexia State School in the Vehicle Maintenance Department.

Survivors include wife, Frances Ann Sessions of the home; son, Steven of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; daughter, Regina Kennedy of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joye Walling of Wichita Falls, and Doris McLennan of Walker, La.; and brother, Jack of Denver City, Texas.

James Weldon Sessions, 76, Wichita Falls died Thursday, July 14, 2011, in Amarillo, Texas.

Services were held on Wednesday, July 20, 2011 at the Criswell Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Kenneth McCarthick officiating. Burial followed in Pontotoc Cemetery under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home of Ada.

He was born January 21, 1935 in Seymour, Texas to Ross Van and Mattie Henson Sessions. He graduated from Seymour High School and moved to the Wichita Falls area from Streetman, Texas. He married Frances Ann Vessels on February 10, 1956.

Mr. Sessions retired from the U.S. Air Force after 22 years of service. He served as an Aircraft Maintenance Chief with the rank of Master Sergeant. He worked for Northrop Grumman as an Aircraft Maintenance Instructor in Saudi Arabia from 1977 until 1982. He also worked in the Vehicle Maintenance Department for the Mexia State School.
He was a Baptist.

Survivors include wife, Frances Ann Sessions of the home; son, Steven of Cape Canaveral, Fla.; daughter, Regina Kennedy of Spokane, Wash.; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joye Walling of Wichita Falls, and Doris McLennan of Walker, La.; and brother, Jack of Denver City, Texas.
