Note I rec'd today (6-16-2017)

Hi: Today I've started to try to link together family members of some of the Morgans on Find-a-Grave. One record I have which came from an old family Bible contains information about Joseph Dossett Morgan and his family. I thought perhaps you might like to add some of it to his bio on FAG. I already sent edit requests to link as many of his children as I could find but it's not nearly all of them. The following is what I have:

Joseph Dossett Morgan was born in Gwinnett County, Georgia on June 15, 1818 and died March 12, 1874 in Polk County, Georgia. His married his first wife, Martha Ann Payne, February 1, 1835 in Hall County, Georgia. (Martha Ann was the daughter of Isaac Beason Payne and is wife, Nancy Green, from Greenville District, South Carolina.

Joseph Dossett Morgan was a farmer and a merchant. He and his wife came to Paulding (Polk) County before 1840 Originally he was a Whig but later became a Republican. He was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

Ten children were born to this first marriage (I can't vouch for the spelling as I've found a couple of errors):

1. Isaac Clinton Morgan (Dr.), born January 8, 1839. Moved to Van Buren County, Tenn. and first married Lucinda Cummings. They had a large family of children.
2. Anslen (or Anslee) Morgan, born Dec. 10, 1842.
3. Joseph J. Morgan, born Jan. 9, 1846 and was killed in Arkansas.
4. Josephine, born Sept. 30, 1851. Moved to Mississippi
5. Nancy E., born March 22, 1840.
6. Martha Lenora Morgan, born May 13, 1841. Married Gabriel Marion Cummings of Van Buren County, Tenn.
7. Mary Park Morgan, born May 31, 1844. married _____ Fletcher and moved to Chattanooga, Tenn.
8. Elliott, moved to White County, Tenn, M. C. T. Haston, 1-14-'6(?)
9. Cynthia, born July 1, 1853. Married ____ Wright of Polk County, Ga.
10. Lee Ella Alice, born Oct. 14, 1855, Polk County, Ga. Married John Parham.

Children of second marriage with wife Nannie E. Crab, born April 14, 1837.
1. Barton E. Morgan, born July 19, 1959, and became a farmer in Polk County, Ga.
2. Newton H. Morgan, born April 10, 1861. Died in Polk County, Ga.
3. Orvin B. Morgan, born Dec. 16, 1862.
4. Emery Anderson Morgan, born Sept. 24, 1866. Married Ida Davis.
5. Lena D. Morgan, born Oct. 9, 1868. Married John Cummings of Van Buren County, Tenn.
6. Robert J. Morgan, born Oct. 25, 1864. Married Lula Davis. He became a very prominent minister in Oklahoma.
7. Cora L. Morgan, born Oct. 24, 1870. Married Emmett Doyle.
8. Della Morgan, born March 8, 1873. Married Julius Deupree and moved to Texas.

I think that's it. I've had some of this stuff for a lot of years so it's about time it gets put to good use.

All my best,
Regina
