Casimir, or Cook, as he was known to his friends, was married to Mildred Wells Balyer On November 1 1956. When Cook married Mildred she already had 4 children. He helped raise the children as his own. He was grandpa to 15 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. He adored those grandkids. We'd all laugh at the stories of how he'd walk by someone numerous times to 'show-off' one of the grandkids.
Cook was a huge sports fan. He loved the Indians and Cavs. As a young man he was very involved in sports. He was inducted into the Softball Hall of Fame here in the Cleveland area. He was a member of the Plumber's Union. Everyone knew "Big Cook".
He served in Europe during World War II.
