Roseamond was born on March 14, 1932 to Melvin and Clara (Reed) Buraas in Northwood, ND. She grew up in Kempton, ND and graduated from Larimore High School. She then attended North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton where she met her future husband, Lawrence Pikarski. They were united in marriage in Larimore on October 17, 1953. They then moved to the family farm near Mooreton, ND where they raised their children and lived to the present day.

Rose was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church and active in the Guild and also the Mooreton American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed sewing and tending her garden.

Rose is survived by her husband, Lawrence, Mooreton, ND; her children, Bruce Pikarski, Breckenridge, MN, Ray (Amy) Pikarski, Hatton, ND, Mona Pikarski, Mooreton, ND, Barry (Judy) Pikarski, Mooreton, ND, Carla (Ken) Hall, Johnson City, TN, Al (Sue Dietz) Pikarski, Waverly, MN, Dana (Denise) Pikarski, Browns Valley, MN, Chad (Teresa Johnson) Pikarski, Wahpeton, ND; her fourteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; two brothers, Terry and Conrad Buraas, Grand Forks, ND; and one sister, Peggy Tiesen, Wray, CO.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Clara Buraas; her children, Gene, Brian, and Kevin Pikarski; a brother, Gordy Buraas; and a sister Audry Olson.
