Sacred To The Memory of Dr. Lancelot Johnston who died on September 19, 1832 in the 84th year of life. Dr. J. was born in the County Fermanagh, Ireland. He was educated and prepared himself for the medicine profession in his native Country and emigrated to the Colonies when a young man and soon became a Patriot. In the Revolutionary struggle with the Mother Country performing the duties of Surgeon in the Army of his adopted Country with fidelity - which documents in the archives in the Country testify.
