Toy Laster was the daughter of the Late Robinson and Dollie Willis. She was baptized at the Macedonia Baptist Church in Alma, Arkansas, by the Rev. H. E. Embry. She attended school in Alma. In 1929, she married Earl Laster. They moved to Ft. Smith, Arkansas. In later years her husband was called to the ministry. She worked faithfully with her husband in the ministry for a number of years. She later joined the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Lydia Circle until her death.

The Beal cemetery is located just off the Kibler-Yoestown road in the Newtown community. The cemetery is named for the Beal family. The cemetery is one of the nicest kept in the county.
