Canadian religious figure. 3rd Bishop of Trois-Rivières. Born in Sainte-Geneviève-de-Batiscan (Québec) on November 2, 1848. He studied in Trois-Rivières and was ordained priest in Nicolet on September 22, 1872.He took charge of several functions in Trois-Rivières like teacher and prefect at the Seminary, vicar and dean of the cathedral. On May 8, 1899, he was appointed Bishop of Trois-Rivières and consecrated in his cathdral the following July 25. He died in his episcopal city on September 18, 1934.
