Mrs. Jane Kealiher died at the home of her son last Tuesday night of pneumonia at the ripe old age of 81 years, 6 months and 19 days. She was born in Ireland in 1814, and at the age of 8 years came with her parents to America, and settled at Forks, Main, where she grew to womanhood and married Sewall Kealiher. They moved to Missouri in 1858 and lived there until 1865. She had four sons in the Union Army. One was captured and died at Andersonville. In '65 they moved to Michigan, where they resided until"72, when they came to York county and settled west of York. In "76 they moved to Buda, Ill., where her husband died, and in '81 she returned to York county and has since made her home with her son L. H. Kealiher. Eight boys and four girls were born to them, of which seven boys and two girls remain to mourn her death. She was brought up in the presbyterian faith, but never united with any church. She was buried from the presbyterian church, Rev. R. A. White officiating. Her remains were intered at the Eberhart cemetery.
