Dolly was the daughter of Preston Douthitt and Maude Dickey. Dolly was married several times. Her first marriage was to the widower, Andrew Perry Brock, on August 13, 1928, in Frankfort, Franklin County, Kentucky. Andrew had a son, Charles William Brock, by his first marriage to Gertrude O'Nan. Charles is often listed as Dolly's son, but he was not. Dolly next married Clyde Wilson. Next she married B. Dailey Dingey on July 7, 1956, in Steuben, Indiana. Lastly, she married Bertram Henry Peters, Jr.
