LYDIA ABERLE
Lydia V. Aberle, 80, died at 2:55 a.m. Friday, March 10, 1978 at the Apostolic Christian Home, Eureka. She had been ill 15 months.
Her funeral was at 12:30 p.m. Sunday, March 12, 1978, at the Apostolic Christian church, Fairbury, with church ministers officiating.
Burial was in Graceland cemetery.
Culkin Funeral Home, Forrest, was in charge of arrangements.
She was born April 13, 1`897, At Wertenburg, Bavaria, Germany, a daughter of Jacob and Madyln Hunsinger Baer. She married Carl O. Aberle Feb 29 1920 at Fairbury. He died Feb. 26, 1972.
Surviving are four sons, William, Chatsworth; Reuben, Schaumburg; Harold, Thawville; and Ezra, Tuscon, Ariz; five daughters, Elizabeth Culkin and Ann Maurer, both of Forrest; Rose Huette, Lake Bloomington; Lois Aberle, Marina Del Rey, Calif., and Leota Byrd, Roanoke; a sister, Anna Imhof, Peoria; 31 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren.
A son, six brothers, three sisters and two grandchildren preceded her in death.
She was a member of the Apostolic Christian Church.
Memorials may be made to the Apostolic Christian Home for the Handicapped, Morton.
