Pioneer of Tippecanoe County Dead in Elwood
Nathan Large, aged eighty years, died yesterday afternoon at 3 o'clock from paralysis at the home of his daughter, Jrs. James Smith, 315 South A street. The deceased was a private in Company I, 154th Indiana Volunteer IUnfantry, and was an old resident of Tippecanoe county, having lived in Lafayette many years and is widely know in that locality. The funeral, which will be private, will be held from the Smith residence at 2 o'clock Tursday afternoon, whith interment in the city cemetery. (Elwood Daily Record, 12 June 1909)
