Born October 27, 1905 in St. Helens, Lancashire, England to John and Mary Jane Foster Shewell. Married Viola May Pederson; she died 1978. Married Gwladys Roberts Underwood, April 6, 1979 in Salt Lake LDS Temple.
He was a resident manager for the High Rise Apartments. Active member of the LDS Church, High Priest and former member of the Branch Presidency where he resided.
Survivors, wife, Salt Lake City; son and daughter in law, Marvin B. and Judith Shewell, Murray; five grandchildren; Julie, Brian, Adam, Nathan and Benjamin. Funeral Wednesday 12:00 noon, McKinley Ward Chapel, 1893 So West Temple. Friends may call at the Jenkins Soffe Mortuary, 4760 South State, Tuesday 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday at the church one hour prior to services. Interment, Salt Lake City Cemetery.
