Lucinda Delaney, beloved wife of Henry Delaney, died at their home, eight miles southwest of town at 7 o'clock p.m., May 7, 1905, and was buried Tuesday at the Masonic cemetery. She leaves a husband, three sons and one daughter. John Delaney, of this city; Hiram Delaney, of Gas City; Edward D. Delaney, of Balhinch and Mrs. Mary Blacketer, of New Market.
Lucinda Griffon was born in Virginia in 1834 and moved with her parents to Lincoln county, Kentucky in 1851. She was married to Henry Delaney in 1851. They moved to Montgomery county, Indiana, in 1864, and have lived in the Mace neighborhood ever since until three years ago, when he moved to Balhinch. She was loved by all who knew her.
