Mrs. Fannie Elizabeth Johnson, 82, of 2032 Third avenue. East Moline, a resident of this community for 18 years and a member of the family for whom Hillsdale was named, died at her home late yesterday afternoon following a stroke which she suffered on Monday. Mrs. Johnson was born at Hillsdale, June 14, 1864, a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Hill. She was married to Frank Johnson In the fall of 1882 at Hillsdale. He died Oct. 7, 1914. She moved to East Moline in 1929. Mrs. Johnson was an active member of Grace Methodist church. She was also active as a worker in the Aid society and the Willing Workers class of the church. Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Nettle Browning of East Moline, Mrs. Leona Weimer of Hillsdale and Mrs. Hazel Stevens of Dixon; one sister, Mrs. John Wise of East Moline; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Two daughters died several years ago. The body was removed to Prim funeral home. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 Friday afternoon in Grace Methodist church. The Rev.
A.L. Honn will officiate. Burial will be in Bethesda cemetery near Hillsdale.
