Maryruth was born in Alameda, CA on March 4, 1917 and lived in the San Francisco Bay Area until 1999 when she moved to Ventura County. Maryruth, a woman of deep faith, was a devoted homemaker, bookkeeper and an avid bridge player. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth Cook of Ventura, her son John Cook of Woodacre, CA and her grandson, William Cook of Novato, CA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the St. John's Pleasant Valley Hospital Foundation, TLC Fund for Supportive Care at the End of Life, 1600 N. Rose Avenue, Oxnard, CA. 93030. Funeral Mass was celebrated Saturday, June 8th, at Sacred Heart Church, Ventura. Graveside service will be at Golden Gate National Cemetery, San Bruno, CA. on Tuesday, June 11th at 11:00 AM.
