REIDSVILLE -Betty Dishmon Southard, 75, of Reidsville, died December 28, 2006, at Annie Penn Nursing Center. Betty was born in Schoolfield, Va. to Daniel W. Dishmon and Etta Rakes West. She was a member of Dan River Primitive Baptist Church and retired from the American Tobacco Company.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Fulcher. She is survived by a son, Steve Southard (Amanda); grandsons, Clint Southard, Jesse Southard, Brian Southard, Lee Fulcher and Mac Fulcher; three great-grandchildren, Alex Southard, Brad Southard and Katy Fulcher; sister, Velva Rakes.
Burial will be in Dan River Primitive Baptist church Cemetery.
