William James Brake, the son of Oscar and Ethel (Southard) Brake was born in Lima, Allen, Ohio on Feb 11, 1909. He moved to Bellaire, Antrim, Michigan with his parents and sister in 1914. He married Lenore A Sheneman in 1929. They had three daughters and a son. For many years Bill was an official of the Michigan and National Grange. He died (three months after Lenore) on Dec 15, 1990 in Petoskey, Emmet, Mich. Both Bill and Lenore are buried in Fairview Cemetery.
