Elizabeth Ross Barnum, 94, of Syracuse died Tuesday (Nov. 7) at Crouse Hospital. She was born in Auburn. She was a graduate of Goodyear-Burlingame School and a 1928 graduate of Syracuse University, and received a graduate certificate from the University of Buffalo School of Social Work. She retired in 1969 as a psychiatric social worker after 30 years with the state Department of Mental Hygiene. She was a member of Gamma Phi Beta sorority, a member of the board of directors of the former Memorial Hospital Auxiliary and a former member of the board of directors of the Huntington Family Centers, Syracuse.
Her husband, Dwight S., died in 1966. Burial is in Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse.
