Asa H. Gadeke, son of William H, and Mary Gadeke was born at Wasson, Ohio, on May 7, 1876 and died at his home in Seward, Nebr., on Sept 21, 1952 at the age of 76 years, 4 months and 14 days.
Mr. Gadeke was united in marriage to Margaret E. Lynch on November 27, 1901. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last November. To this union four children wern born, one of whom, a daughter, died in infancy.
Mr and Mrs. Gadeke have lived most of their lives in or near Seward, having moved here in 1906.
Mr. Gadeke was a farmer and spent his active life in that occupation. In fact, it can almost be said he never entirely quit until his death.
He united with the United Brethren Church of Seward in 1915. He took an active part in the support and work of his church. Over the years he has served in various official capacities. During the construction of the present church building, he was chairman of the Building Committee.
