Carrie Barber, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Barber, was born May 26, 1871, in Exeter. She attended Doane College and taught school before her marriage Jan. 9, 1895, to Dan Grave. They spent most of their married life at Norfolk where Mr. Craven owned and operated the Craven Laundry. They were the parents of three daughters and five sons.
Mrs. Craven is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Charlotte Naumann of Gurnee, with whom she lived; Mrs. Helen Karella of Los Angeles and Mrs. Caroline Haines of Chicago, and two sons, Robert and Victor, both of Los Angeles.
