KERNERSVILLE ~ Sarah Tilley Macy, 80, went home to be with her Lord July 27, 2011 following a lengthy illness. Funeral Services celebrating her life will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 29, 2011 at Pierce-Jefferson Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Eastlawn Gardens of Memory. A native of Stokes County, she was the daughter of the late Sudie Conway Marshall and Bud Tilley, Sr. She was the owner of County Line Bar & Grill with her late husband Willie Howard Macy. She was a member of the Moose Lodge. In addition to her parents and husband, she also was preceded in death by her daughter Donna Macy Sink, brothers Mickey Marshall, Roger Marshall, and David Marshall, Sr., and niece Christy Marshall. Survivors include her sisters Virginia Day of Lexington and Megie French of Marion; grandsons Josh Stafford and Zachary Sink; son-in-law David Sink; nieces Sandy Chamelin, Debbie Booth, Lisa Jones, Carol Jean Ballard, Cindy French, Mary Jane Marshall, Wendy Smith, Carol Clay, and Brenda Stafford; nephews Linwood Ballard, Michael Tilley, Ricky Tilley, David Marshall, Jr., Craig French, Malon French, and Chad Marshall. The family will visit with friends from 9 a.m. until time for the Service at the Funeral Home and other times at Lisa Jones residence, 4016 Granby Street, Winston-Salem. The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of The Oaks for the great care given Sarah.
